Terry Tate

Last one before going to bed. I love Terry Tate Office Linebacker. 100% comedy gold. "Pain train baby"

Clutch

Okay so Clutch (our furry bear) is the mascot for the NBA basketball team, the Huston Rockets. So he does several challenges like diving and karate, but he greatest is against Booker T. Watch, laugh and enjoy life. Round two will always make me laugh. Check out Clutch's youtube page right here.

Give Me Your Soul...Like Right Now

King Diamond. That's all I have to say. Watch the video and be entertained by King Diamond (singer with the face paint) and Andy La Roque (guitarist who solos). If just looking at King Diamond's face paint doesn't freak you out, there is always our friend Gunnerasaurus Rex.

This Should Be At The Beginning of Every Movie

So Mastodon recorded this song for the intro to the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie. If you ask me, it should be at the beginning of every movie

I've Been Meaning to Post This

As you know by past posts, I'm a huge fan of Atlanta, Georgia (yeah that city that is famous for their hip hop artists) rockers Mastodon. This song called "Black Tongue" is their first single off the new album and totally rocks. (no pun intended). I've enjoyed the evolution of the band. Even though it's no March of the Fire Ants or Blood and Thunder or even Deathbound, it rocks in its own way. It reminds me of their Blood Mountain era music.

Fish

Just to let you know, the fish you see at the top of the screen is a fish tank and if you click on it, it drops food so you can feed the fish.

Can't Sleep

I can't find a way to go to sleep. I've been tossing and turning for a while but I figured it out. I'm going to sleep around 3 hours earlier than I normally do so I'm pretty much wide awake. Not cool. Anyway, my plan is to read and make my eyes tired so that I can sleep. But first this cool picture of Star Wars: Bundesliga Edition. I saw it on Dirty Tackle and thought that I should post it up here. Raul as Han Solo is really cool but Mario Gomez as Princess Leia is mind blowing hilarious. Haha I'm a huge Gomez fan and this is definitely a good laugh.

Sometimes Your Best Is Not Good Enough

So today I attempted to install a wireless router at my girlfriend's house but completely failed and in fact made the situation worse for a short time. So pretty much today ended on a bad note. Baby if you're reading this, I'm sorry.

David Cameroon

Chelsea F.C. is a very talented team with spectacular plays, especially Drogba, but man can he make me laugh. So as the video explains, Kalou is filming and says he's David Cameron, (Titanic, Avatar, Aliens, Terminator 2: Judgement Day...) but accidentally says "Cameroon" as in the country. Drogba just brings out his inner comedian with the line "maybe I can visit your country." Watch it and have a good laugh. It's Saturday

I'm a Gooner

Yes you read that correctly. A Gooner. That's the nickname for supporters of London football club Arsenal F.C. One of the greatest things about being a gooner is our awesome mascot, Gunnersaurus Rex. (Yeah that green dinosaur waving at you in your sleep)

"The Interpretation of Cultures"

That's the name of the newest book I've received for next semester. Sounds really cool and can't wait to read it.

Cowboys & Aliens

I really want to see this movie. It just came out yesterday. I'm a huge fan of Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones days and this movie looks like a return to that. Plus the idea of mixing the Old West and Aliens just sounds really cool. I'm still bummed from not being able to go watch Super 8 back in June.

Adele

I have no idea who this girl is but had heard of her a couple months ago after reading an article on Yahoo about how she was selling more records than Lady Gaga. So point is I bought her cd 21 for my girlfriend. Apparently she really likes her music. This is the first physical cd I've bought since February. (I bought DevilDriver's Beast) Let me make this clear, physical cd. I do buy some digital downloads but I prefer physical cds because I get to admire the cool artwork. The album covers of metal cds are almost never as plain as the Adele cd (yes that one at the top). On average, they usually look like this, or this, and sometimes this. If you ask me, way better than boring pop album covers.

Venice Beach

I'm hoping to go biking within the next two weeks with my best friend Gio to Venice Beach. It's about 10 miles from out starting point. I've done it before with my friend David and want to go again. It's a fun ride and the best part is that there is already a bike lane to keep crazy drivers away from you

If There Is Someone That Makes Me Happy, It Is Her

It's That Time Of The Year

when I get to begin buying my textbooks for the next semester of college. So far only one book has arrived, Readings for A History of Anthropological Theory by Erickson & Murphy for my Anthropological Theory class (like you couldn't guess right). I'm an Anthropology major and really excited for the class and to start reading this books. Looks pretty damn interesting.

Spotify is Awesome

I know I use the word awesome a lot. For my vocabulary, it is pretty damn overused, but anyways the point I am making is that Spotify might just be the future of recreationally (is that even a word?) listening to music on one's computer. Whether you pay for the service (there is unlimited and premium) or get it by invitation, you have access to millions of songs from around the globe. Now I'm a complete metal guy with random tastes (insert Fergie, ABBA, Madonna, just to name a few), but I've used the service to listen to a lot of music I listened to in past years but fell off my radar. My favorite example: "Pop" by Nsync. That's my favorite Nsync song hands down. Another good one is "Pump It" by Black Eye Peas. (and "Don't Phunk With My Heart). Don't judge people. Don't judge. One of the coolest features is that the program also syncs your music library from iTunes or Windows Media Player and when you search the musical database (remember in over millions of tracks) if you already have the song on the computer, it tells you. I haven't tried the Premium in which you can save songs offline and take them with you on the go but when I do, I'll let you know. Check it out right here. Trust me, it won't let you down.
Currently in my playlist: "DARE" by Gorillaz; "Abstract Art" by Born of Osiris; "S.I.M.P." by 2 Guys N The Parque (It's the Phineas and Ferb song); "Kalemba Wegue, Wegue" by Buraka Som Sistema; "Pump It" by the Black Eye Peas; "Runaway" by Bon Jovi; and "Black Tongue" by Mastodon

What To Never Carry In Your Wallet...A USB Drive

I mean seriously. Who carries a USB in their wallet. You can read about why you should not carry it around right here. Some of Yahoo's articles have been really stupid, hence I'm calling this one out. Read this excerpt: "'It may sound silly, but if you're changing earrings or heading from a business meeting, it's very possible you may forget and toss these things in the zipper compartment of your wallet,' says Lin."No Lin, it doesn't sound silly. It sounds stupid. Changing your earrings. The real question is why do you have a USB drive in your hands in the first place? If your USB drive is not on your keychain, then you shouldn't be carrying one in general.

Some Soccer Players Get Paid Way Too Much

I was reading Mirror Football, a British football (soccer) newspaper, and found that Manchester City (yes the one with the Billionaire owner) have signed ANOTHER forward. In the past 3 years, they've signed Robinho, Santa Cruz, Tevez, Adebayor and Dzeko. But that's not what's making me upset. Apparently Argentinean super star Sergio "Kun" Aguero will be making 200,000 pounds a week. Zero bull shit here. "£200,000-per-week"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check it out for yourself here. That guy will make more in a week than most Americans will in 4-8 years. To place that in perspective, 200,000 pounds is approximately $327,417 USD. After British taxes (which is 50% because of universal healthcare and other great programs that free by the government), he will still be making $163,708 USD a week. Let me make this as clear as I can. A WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I have to admit, this picture of Aguero after scoring a goal is pretty awesome)

Planet of the Apes

So lately I've been watching films that I've seen in the past but don't remember anything about it. Current case in point: Tim Burton's 2001 remake of Planet of the Apes. I enjoyed the film and slowly remembered all the scenes. I really want to go see Rise of the Planet of the Apes even though I have yet to comprehend how it fits with all the other movies.

Saturday was a good day

I got to see my girlfriend, spend the afternoon with her and watched as Chivas de Guadalajara defeat Atlante

Las Chivas Rayadas de Guadalajara

I'm going today to San Diego with my mother to go watch Chivas v Real Madrid play a friendly. I'm super duper excited. I love both teams and have posters of each in my room. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I get to be there =D

Inception

I saw Inception last night after my really good friend/neighbor told me to watch the movie back in February. A great and spectacular film from beginning to end. The film is 100% original and actually got spooked out by the idea of a dream inside a dream inside another dream. Crazy shit...seriously.

1 Year Anniversary

On July 9, 2011 was my 1 year anniversary with my beautiful girlfriend. I love her to death and wouldn't trade her for the world.

Alien

So I decided Monday night (July 18) that I would begin watch all four Alien movies in a row...and I did. I enjoyed the first 3 movies the most, Alien: Resurrection just seemed liked they pushed the series. I mean seriously, they brought back Ripley as a human/ alien hybrid with the use of DNA after she had thrown herself into molten steel -_-. I think I'm going to go with Aliens as my favorite movie of the four. 100% action and badassness.

Lego Video Games

I love Lego video games because they're hilarious and very fun to play. Up to now, I had only beaten Lego Star Wars: The Complete Series and Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4. So in the past two weeks I've bought Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Pirates of the Caribbean. I'm enjoying both games very much. I plan to buy Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 in November.

Amoeba

About two weeks ago I went to Amoeba Records in Hollywood and bought Mastodon's Blood Mountain on vinyl (you already know how much I love that band) and bought the Alien Quadrilogy because I hadn't seen the Alien movies and thought it was a good deal.

I Take Very Long Breaks

I really do. I have a lot to update, so there will be many posts today.

These Kind of People Sadden Me

I would have said the same exact thing

Bucket List Item #4

Backpack across Europe for a summer. I really want to explore Europe. The plan is to start in either Wales or England and go East from there.

Three Muskateers Remake

looks really cool plus it's going to have Orlando Bloom with a sword so you know you can't to wrong. (Other movies where he features a sword: Lord of the Rings 1-3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 1-3. No other references needed) It looks to be released on October 21, 2011

Bucket List Item #3

Going to see a Real Madrid v Barcelona game at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid, Spain. I'm a huge Madrid fan (Hala Madrid) and would love to go watch my favorite Spanish play against their rivals in the Classico. (pictured above from left to right: Raul Gonzalez Blanco, Samuel Eto'o and Michel Salgado (I think) )

Every Damn Day

someone has been shooting fireworks for the past 2 weeks. Both during the day and during the night. Do you know how annoy that is? Well it is very annoy. Please stop who ever is doing it. Thank you.

The Mortal Soil

This is one of my favorite songs off "Blood Mountain." What I love about it is the slow beginning and space feeling you get which slowly transforms into a faster song but goes back to the original feeling in the beginning.

Hilarious

So I ran into this website where it is a compilation of tests and homeworks where student doodled and wrote strange and interesting things on their essays, math tests and poems. I laughed like crazy reading each one.

Bucket List Item #2

Going to an Iron Maiden concert. I'm a huge Iron Maiden fan and I would love to one day see them play live before they break up for good.

Happy Birthday

To my beautiful girlfriend Crisalia.
