Surrender
Hey everyone. So it's spring break but only thing I'm really looking forward too is seeing DevilDriver for the 4th time next week. Anyways, it's raining outside and I feel like posting some In This Moment. This song is called "Surrender." Check it out and enjoy your night.

I'm Losing Sight, Don't Count On Me
Buenos dias everyone. So this song is called "Follow" by Breaking Benjamin. If I remember correctly, it was released on the Halo 2 soundtrack. It's one of my favorite songs by the band, so check it outand have a great day everyone.

2000 Years
So my good pal David, who is currently in Brazil, sent me this song. It's called "The Mummy" by Massacration. I have to admit this is one of the funniest metal songs I've ever. These guys are a much heavier version of Steel Panther. Watch the video, hear the song and laugh. Have a great day everyone.

Lord of the Night, Master of Beasts
Good morning everyone. I'm not really sure what mood I'm in (it's somewhere between happy and gloomy. The sky outside is very gray you know). So here is some fucking black metal. This song is called "Inno A Santana" by Emperor. Great song and the live version is better than the studio one so check it out. Have a great day everyone.
Beyond the Gate
Well it is time to call it a night but I wanted to post this song before I went to bed. It's called "Beyond the Gate, Pt 2" by Wretched. It's an instrumental. Check it out, good night and good luck.

Starting From Scratch
A day turns into a week which turns into a month. I watch these invented hours fly by and I continue to sit alone. Half of the people I hang out with are all in relationships and I do admit it does become a bit awkward at times. I sit there admire others. Whether their relationship is on the rocks or at its peak, is not what's in question. The point is that they still share something at the end of the day. A smile, sometimes large and other times small, but of each other.
As I sit in my bed, under my comfy covers, I resonate with life six years ago. My best friend, Gio, and I were both single back then and we both are now. (Don't get the wrong idea here people.) I told Gio the other day that "it's just like the old days. Just you and me buddy." People (including myself) have a tendency to say that they live without certain obligations because they're not in a relationship, but I do miss that at random times. Receiving a text and smiling the second you saw who it was or even just be like "I'm not in the mood to talk to you right now" and putting it off until later.
Maybe I need to start from scratch and change who I am. But maybe (more like absolutely) not. I wear black band shirts everyday because (besides the fact that they look fucking awesome) I want people to know who I really am. I've already been in a relationship where a girl has disliked (well more like hated) both my taste in music and my form of dress and tried to change me (only to be unsuccessful). She only wore Abercrombie and Hollister and later cheated on me with a cholo (I'm not lying about this stuff. Ridiculous shit right). I know that opposites attract but I'm fucking tired of my opposites, they always find a flaw in me. I accept theirs but they don't accept mine (which is why they're probably my opposites right?). But anyways, it's Sunday night and I have other things on my mind than this. Piece out yo, I'm hungry and want some food for my stomach.
Epic Mickey 2
So Epic Mickey 2 has been announced and I'm so happy!!! I loved the first game game and even have two posters up in my room along with having the special edition of the first one. Anyways, this game is going to continue the tradition of darkness and having your choices affect the rest of the game. What I'm actually pretty excited about is that this game is going to be part musical and your choices will also affect what songs are played throughout the game. Epic Mickey 2 will be coop between Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky rabbit. The game is going to be released in Fall 2012 on the PS3, 360 and Wii. Can't wait.
I'm Dying Again
For for taking so long, but a couple days ago I said I was going to post my favorite God Forbid song. So here it is "To The Fallen Hero." This video is just a one of a kind. The meaning of the lyrics is just jaw dropping and the video does a great job of just conveying that same message. Watch it, listen and enjoy.
This is an oath to the fallen heroes
This is an ode to the ones we lost
This was then and now,
The last days before the return
The memory will not be silenced or erased
In the glory of your worth

Concealing Moments Alone
A lot of people (including myself) have a tendency to conceal sadness, depression, etc, but I want to talk about obscuring happy moments. Those time when we really shouldn't be hiding our feelings. Every person should have the right to just scream like a little girl and not give a damn. I say enjoy every moment of joy. I've done the 'jump around the room with the door closed so no one sees' thing many times just so my mom wouldn't give me a weird look.
This past weekend was my birthday but I could have cared less about turning 20. What brought rejoice was having spent it with my friends and I'm pretty sure they got that. It was one of those days where you erase all your problems for a handful of hours.
I'm kinda curious to know why people have a tendency to not let these emotions flow. Just let life and enjoy your time in it. A person's perception of what it means to be happy changes constantly over time and people should take the time to really find what makes them happy inside. For me, it's just spending time with friends.
This Is The End
This was the second song I heard by God Forbid and it's called "The End of the World." It's off of their album IV: Constitution of Treason which my favorite album by the band. Later I'm going to post the first song I heard by them, which is also my favorite. Enjoy the video, I saw it on Mtv's Headbangers Ball while still in middle school and it just consolidated the fact that they kick-ass.
No Time To Wonder Why
So on Monday, God Forbid released one of their newest songs from their new song Equilibrium and it's awesome. The song is called "Where We Come From" and the music shows each member at their day job before meeting up and practicing with the band. Check it out and have a great day everyone.
He Gives For What He's Got
I really need to go to sleep. It's getting late peeps. Anyways this is "Waiting For An Alibi" by Thin Lizzy. Thin Lizzy is just one of those bands you can never really go wrong with. I posted "Massacre" on here a while ago. So just enjoy the song and relax.

Suffering & Religion
"If God exists, then why do people suffer?" This seems to e the fundemental question to religion. But a question that never really gets asked is "If God created the world/people/animals/galaxy, then why did he create other Gods for people to worship?" Our all-powerful super-saiyan friend specifically says in the Ten Commandments that "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Curiosity killed the cat...or God killed it for asking.
I'm an Atheist and that's nothing new, but it has begun to bug me more to see the religious and non-religious advocating their beliefs at street corners. Religion does not come to you, you are suppose to find it on your own. A baby is born without culture, identity, religion and language. These are all important things they learn through exposure. I was raised in a Mexican culture, identify myself as Jazz the tall weirdo metalhead with long hair, grew up as a Catholic and learned both English and Spanish. As time went by, I was introduced to science and all the great riches of its knowledge.
At the end of the day, as long as religion does not bug, I will not bug it. I don't really have a problem with religion because even if it gives false hope, it gives people hope in one form or another. It makes people more optimistic about life. My optimism comes and goes like many others (coincidentally I'm listening to Dark Tranquillity's "Focus Shift" as I write this). Right now I'm just enjoying life with my friends and taking each day a laugh at a time. Malicious thoughts keep my conscience company. I enjoy viewing things related to darkness and death. Goriness fascinates me yet I'm still a child at heart. I've always wondered if my suffering has led to my liking of metal. As a child I always wondered why God brought pain and suffering to my family. But he doesn't exist and these are things we brought upon ourselves No one really has a choice of whether they want to suffer and how they want to suffer. This is all stuff that kinda happens as life rolls on: breakups, divorces, deaths, puppies dying or walking into the wall. Life has become so random, I just seriously stopped giving a shi(woah). People, relationships and dogs have all come and gone but my friends have stayed. I don't really need anything else to survive the rest of my journey. So many smiles and laughs await me.

Daddy's Falling Angel
"In my dreams last night I saw your face
You held me and washed away my tears
Then I woke to realize you're gone
I'm drowning in solitude again"
Inside My Head: Music
The music that I listen to has not evolved much in the past 14 years (metal, classic rock and punk). What has had a lot of influence is the music that I've randomly like on the side over the years.
Mexican Music
As a little boy, I was raised on mariachis, bandas, and nortenas. My mom had a cd of a mix of Los Tucanos de Tijuana which I loved and made her play all the time. To this day, I still believe there is something special about the sound of the music. It's a unique blend of guitars and drums with wind instruments.
Pop
Now pop is interesting. As a five year old, you don't know any better than to listen to the radio. I grew up on the Britney Spears, Christina Aguilara, Backstreet Boys, Nsync, etc. (Remember I was listening to this while also listening to metal.) One of the few artists that stuck with me since is M2M. They had a song that appeared on the Pokemon: The Movie soundtrack called "Don't Say You Love Me."I have no idea why the song has randomly remained with me but is has.
Latin American
This is my favorite non-metal genre because it houses a LARGE selection of artists. One of the main reasons for this was growing up on Shakira when she only sang in Spanish. "Ojos Asi" will remain to be one of my favorite songs of all time. Another big part is Rodrigo y Gabriela. Their sound is unique and if you have yet to hear one of their songs well you're missing out.
Ska
I would be lying if I said I didn't like ska. Catchy rock music with trumpets/saxophones/trombones. The uniqueness of the music is exactly what makes it stand out. The first ska song I heard was The Mighty Mighty Bosstones' "The Impression That I Get" and it was on the Digimon: The Movie soundtrack. To me, it's just one of those songs that everyone has to hear before they die. (Little cool random fact: Malcom in the Middle theme song, "Boss of Me" is a ska song.)

Shake The Hand Of Lightening
Lets get back to the metal people. This is "Capillarian Crest"by Mastodon. This song is fast paced, catchy and just 100% in your face. My favorite part starts at 2:55 and is just the rest of the song. It's like a hidden section that catches you off guard but it's so awesome.
Take A Good Hard Look
Hello there people on the webamundo. Yesterday my friends and I were playing Guitar Hero and we started off with the ridiculous songs first that were embarrassing to sing. For this, one of my songs was My Chemical Romance's "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" and I dedicated it to Peter. It was hilarious. Enjoy your day everyone.

The Uniqueness of Individuality
I've always been curious to how others perceive me. I still don't view my self as a unique person. Besides the fact that I'm tall and that I have long hair, I'm just another person in the world and another face in the crowd. I have a tendency to crack jokes and make others laugh but who doesn't right. Other than my name, I'm not sure what stands out. I think malicious thoughts, walk around with my headphones blasting Arch Enemy and usually have a bicycle helmet strapped to my backpack. But I guess this all builds to the character of who I am. When I imitate people, my pitch is usually off, my stories include sound effects and I randomly make animal sounds. I'm not sure what people see, but I'm glad they see something.

Wii U
I'm a huge Nintendo fan, (now to be clear, I'm not a crazy huge fan as I don't own every Mario and Legend of Zelda game to have been released since the inception of the NES) and I'm pretty much willing to follow them almost wherever they decided to go. I own the Wii, DS and 3DS. At a point in time, Nintendo was the king of graphics. Anyone who plays a Nintendo 64 game today, like my two favorites: Donkey Kong 64 and Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, will admit they still continue to look great. So it does bring me some considerable sadness to see Nintendo forcing themselves into the HD world. Anyone who bought a Wii, even from day one, knew that they bought it for the experience and not the graphics.
But now it's 2012 and not 2006. Nintendo is playing hardball on this new console and I like it. But at the moment everyone needs to be on the same exact page, the Wii U is an upgrade of the Wii. HD graphics, new controller (but Wiimotes are still compatible which is a HUGE plus for Nintendo) and the inclusion of HDMI. Now that we have this out of the way, lets get to the big questions.
Price
This console is going to be set at a pretty high price on launch day. There is no way Nintendo is going to repeat their mistake of pricing the Wii at $250 this time around (and let's not even talk about the $250 3DS launch price). To my estimates, the console will be priced around $300-400. I am 100% willing to pay the $400, anything higher than that would really make me question if the investment for a Wii U is actually worth it. The Wii U controller is not an iPad 3. But on the other hand, $400 is completely worth the price for owning a Legend of Zelda game, regardless if it's a launch day title or five years from now. On top of all of this, imagine Nintendo gets into the whole HD remake scene. The possibilities would be endless: Donkey Kong 64 HD, Banjo Kazooie HD or even Mario Party HD. (Lets be honest people, after Mario Party 3, every mini-game has just small variations of each other.)
Games and Franchises
One of the things that makes this console so attractive is the list of franchises that could crossover (and I mean pretty much every single franchise, even Psychonauts 2 whenever it gets developed). Assassin's Creed III has already been confirmed to appear (maybe even as a launch title?). I'd like to assume that the majority of games will probably be released and advertised as PS3, 360, PC and Wii U from now on. But lets get real here, no one is going to buy a Wii U for an Assassin's Creed or a Call of Duty or a Final Fantasy Versus XIII (which continues to look amazing and I don't see why it wouldn't be released on the Wii U now). The selling demographic, which I include myself in, is Nintendo fans who want to see their favorite Nintendo franchises in HD: Mario, Legend of Zelda, Kirby, etc. The only non-Nintendo game I'm really looking forward to go through its evolution on the Wii U is Epic Mickey. People complain about the camera as if it was E.T. for the Atari but it is easily one of the most underrated games of 2010. These are all games I would buy day one without a doubt, but at the end of the day, the ONLY game I'd really buy the Wii U for is the new Super Smash Bros. game. I bought the Wii for Brawl and wouldn't miss the opportunity to get this new one too. Plus the proposed cross play between the 3DS and Wii U makes the game just that much more appealing. More disk memory means hopefully the largest character roster ever. (Nintendo, you better not bring up some DLC bs. What has made all the SSB games fun til this day is the countless hours needed just to unlock certain characters. Mr. Game & Watch, I'm talking about you!)
Final Thoughts
I'm going to buy the Wii U but if it's over $400 then Nintendo better give me some free games or a discount off of launch day titles because if not, I'm going to have to pass it up and wait for a price drop. The only two games/franchises I'm looking forward to buying is Legend of Zelda and Super Smash Bros, but if Warren Spector would like to create another exclusive version of Epic Mickey or have Epic Mickey 2 on launch day, then count me in. The only deal breaker for me to not buy the console would be if it just didn't work at all, as in not turn on or not read games. So until Nintendo gives a release date, I will wait attentively for E3.

Grandmas Will Always Be Grandmas
So on Friday I spoke to my grandma on the phone and she told me she was afraid of me riding my bike in the streets and especially at night. I had to convince her that it was ok and that no one had tried to knife me while riding my bike at night. She has always been very protective of me. In Mexico she didn't let me ride the bus alone until I was 17 even though there are only like 10 different bus lines and I know where each one goes. I love her though, cause she's one awesome grandma.

Irving's Birthday
So today is my neighbor and good friend Irving's twenty-first birthday. My friend America came up with the idea to buy him a leather jacket and today we went to go buy it. Talk about a super fun day. We frist hit up Guitar Center where i needed to buy new "Heavy Top, Low Bottom" Slinky guitar strings. After that we hit up a Tattoo shop in Hollywood where they had some leather jackets for $100 but we decided to continue our journey first and went to Hot Topic where we found a really cool Megadeth shirt that featured Dave Mustaine playing a double neck guitar but they didn't have it in his size. Complete bummer. We had no choice but to continue looking and we eventually found a store that only sold band t-shirts and sweaters. Looking around the store there was a lot of awesome Cannibal Corpse shirts and Iron Maiden ones too, but we did find some leather jackets in the corner for $80 and we got it, concluding our journey. Hopefully we go on another one soon, lots of good laughs.
Neighbors
I've been friends with my neighbors Ed, Chris and Irving for almost ten years now. I've lived at my current residence for a little over ten years but I did not meet Ed until the sixth grade even we live only a block apart. Anyways, Ed and I were partners in crime through all of middle school but essentially went our separate ways in high school. Our friendship was rekindled in college and I'm glad it was because we've had some hilarious days since. Anyways that is all, my tummy is starting to hurt from eating one too many pupusas. I ate 8 today =/. They were delicious and mind blowing but...yeah hahaha. Ok good night everyone.

Fisheye
I love Apocalyptica (cello metal). Their music and playing style is very unique which just alone makes them that much better. Anyways, this is their song Fisheye off of Apocalyptica. I'll probably be posting more songs by them in the next coming days. Check it out plus it has Dave Lombardo on the drums so what more could you ask for.

Tired But Rejuvenated
Today I woke up with the feeling of rejuvenation in my blood. It felt as if the clock had been rewound three years. (I prefer saying that than saying "I feel like I'm 17 again" because that sounds like I'm referencing a Zac Efron movie and last time I remembered, I'm not gay.) All I wanted to hear was Iron Maiden's Powerslave, the entire catalog of The Number Twelve Looks Like You ("Sleeping With The Fishes, See?" is posted above), the entire catalog of Northwind and Rata Blanca's Grandes Canciones. I'm not sure where this feeling came from but I love it. (Talk about a contrast to last night.) I've just been listening to awesome songs all day: Northwind's "Lagrimas de Hielo," "A Las Puertas Del Eden," Rata Blanca's "Haz Tu Jugada," "La Leyenda Del Hada Y El Mago," "La Llave De La Puerta Secreta," Iron Maiden's "Prowler 88," "Aces High" and a crap-load of The Number Twelve Looks Like You. I used to say "It's number twelve time" a lot and I never really knew why I stopped but fuck it, I'm going to bring it because it's god-damn number twelve time. I'm still not sure what I want in life but as long as it involves Gio, America and Irving, I'm happy.
He Is A Man And A God And He Will Die Too
So this coming August I'm going to go see Iron Maiden with my pals Irving, Gio and America. Shortly after we got our tickets, Gio tells me "What song are you hoping they play? 'Powerslave' huh. Well I hope they play 'Aces High." I swear, only a few people in this world know me as well as Gio and damn was he spot on. "Powerslave" is my favorite Iron Maiden song of all time and the album Powerslave is my favorite of their catalog. So here it is, seven minutes of quality music at it's best from 1984. Check it out and have a great day.
A Day In The Life...03-04-12
I'm not sure about how exactly to describe today. It started off really well and then...yeah. I do think people brought my moral down a bit on certain subjects, even if it was unintentional. All I really have to say is that sometimes the villains should have the chance to be able to win too. (I consider myself a villain because it is one of those things that comes along with have dark malicious thoughts.) All I got to do is keep my head up and keep this train rolling. Another day, another smile. Today was just another day in the life.

A Day In The Life...03-03-12
Today was definitely a unique day in its own, not because something special happened, but because of the ups and downs that occurred throughout the day. The highs: UDWPE, America saving my life (and almost ending it hahaha, I owe you a lot), the chicken on the freeway, replacing my phone and joking with Irving about the chicken on the freeway and the giraffe from Perfect Hair Forever. The lows: waiting in line, almost not making it in time for the test, FIFA. What was weird was that my day begun slow and in the lows being in the highs throughout most the day until an hour ago when FIFA totally screwed up my happiness. I'm beginning to fall asleep (well it is 3 am) but I'm not sure what to tell my self when I go to sleep. What happy thoughts do I think of? I'm probably going to just stick to thinking of Crunchbite and my close friends, that'll at least put a smile on my face before knocking out for the night. Well, good night and good luck everyone.

The Void In My Heart
Some (more like most days) I feel the absence of something in my heart. I cant pin-point what exactly it may be. Some days I just feel lonely as a person, just wanting someone there to do a little bit of chit chat. Other days I miss the presence of someone truely caring about me. And on other random days, music cant describe me and doesnt fulfil it's job as my motivator and taking my mind off of what's bugging me in life. Fuck my parents' divorce and all it represents. They dragged me into this shit, scarred me for life and just give me the oh well look. What the fuck did I do to deserve this shit? No decision I make is ever the right one. Sorry but I have both love and hate toward both of them in my heart. They'll always be my parents but Im just fucking sick and tired of both. I feel like once again I'm asking for too much, but oh well.
But one thing is for sure and I want to thank Gio, America, Allan, Irving, Zoya, Crisalia, Melissa, Clara, Gaby, and both Kims for keeping me sane and laughing. Extra special shout out for America and Irving, I might hate you both for keeping me up until 3 a.m., but it has always been totally worth it.

My Hair
People constantly ask my when I'm going to cut my hair as if it was something I was doing in my spare time or just for fun. "So dude, you going to cut your hair anytime soon?" I don't ask people when they're going to stop listening to shitty music so why ask me when I'm going to cut my hair. Is it testing your patience? I don't think so. I'm growing out my fucking hair because I want to and I can.
Shellmounds
This is "Shellmounds" by Grayceon. They make beautiful music and I can't describe it anyother way than that. They're a three-piece made of a celloist, a guitar player and a drummer. Enjoy my friends.
Love Is (A Dream)
So I heard about Grayceon a little over a year ago on MetalSucks and thought their music was amazing. I heard their song "Shellmounds" and woah what a song, and I will post it after this one. But anyways, check out the band, it is very calming. Just play it in the background and you will fall in love.
