I went to Target today with my mom and the cashier saw my black nails and was surprised because she had never seen a guy with black nails. It felt good inside. That is all. Boring story, yes I know.

Rockin' The World For You And Me

By being a general metalhead, I enjoy the exposure I get to different groups. At the core of it, if the band can create good music, I could care less what they sing about. So with this I would like to bring up Stryper. They're a Christian metal band that don't get the credit they deserve. They rose to prominence during the glam scene but in my eyes they don't really fit in there. There music is pretty fast paced at times and slowed down at others. Obviously I'm predominately into their fast paced, speed metal sounding songs. It's almost impossibly to deny the sheer amount of religion included in their lyrics. Lots of mentioning of Christ, Jesus and God. I don't mind it just because the music is surprisingly pretty heavy, but I know of others who dislike it and that's cool with me.

We Are What You Fear The Most

I got the new Chimaira album. I have to admit that I was definitely going into this skeptically just because the only remaining member of the band is the vocalist. Every member was replaced two years ago. I also hadn't heard any of the newly released songs so I can say I went headfirst into listening to cd without a bias. Fuck the new album just kick ass. It has Chimaira written all over it and without a doubt demonstrates to me that they're not slowing down or going a different route. My favorite song so far is easily "Kings of the Shadow World." It's just fucking heavy and the solo even though feels a bit out of place on the first listen, immediately starts sinking in. Best Buy had it on sale for $8 so it was kinda hard to resist the purchase, especially when it's not $15 like a lot of cds now a days. Anyways, listen to the song below because it just rips.
