Life through my eyes. My observations and just random posts about whats ticking me or that I just happen to be really interested in at the moment.

Sometimes Your Best Is Not Good Enough
So today I attempted to install a wireless router at my girlfriend's house but completely failed and in fact made the situation worse for a short time. So pretty much today ended on a bad note. Baby if you're reading this, I'm sorry.

David Cameroon
Chelsea F.C. is a very talented team with spectacular plays, especially Drogba, but man can he make me laugh. So as the video explains, Kalou is filming and says he's David Cameron, (Titanic, Avatar, Aliens, Terminator 2: Judgement Day...) but accidentally says "Cameroon" as in the country. Drogba just brings out his inner comedian with the line "maybe I can visit your country." Watch it and have a good laugh. It's Saturday
I'm a Gooner
Yes you read that correctly. A Gooner. That's the nickname for supporters of London football club Arsenal F.C. One of the greatest things about being a gooner is our awesome mascot, Gunnersaurus Rex. (Yeah that green dinosaur waving at you in your sleep)
"The Interpretation of Cultures"
That's the name of the newest book I've received for next semester. Sounds really cool and can't wait to read it.
Cowboys & Aliens
I really want to see this movie. It just came out yesterday. I'm a huge fan of Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones days and this movie looks like a return to that. Plus the idea of mixing the Old West and Aliens just sounds really cool. I'm still bummed from not being able to go watch Super 8 back in June.
Adele
I have no idea who this girl is but had heard of her a couple months ago after reading an article on Yahoo about how she was selling more records than Lady Gaga. So point is I bought her cd 21 for my girlfriend. Apparently she really likes her music. This is the first physical cd I've bought since February. (I bought DevilDriver's Beast) Let me make this clear, physical cd. I do buy some digital downloads but I prefer physical cds because I get to admire the cool artwork. The album covers of metal cds are almost never as plain as the Adele cd (yes that one at the top). On average, they usually look like this, or this, and sometimes this. If you ask me, way better than boring pop album covers.

Venice Beach
I'm hoping to go biking within the next two weeks with my best friend Gio to Venice Beach. It's about 10 miles from out starting point. I've done it before with my friend David and want to go again. It's a fun ride and the best part is that there is already a bike lane to keep crazy drivers away from you

It's That Time Of The Year
when I get to begin buying my textbooks for the next semester of college. So far only one book has arrived, Readings for A History of Anthropological Theory by Erickson & Murphy for my Anthropological Theory class (like you couldn't guess right). I'm an Anthropology major and really excited for the class and to start reading this books. Looks pretty damn interesting.
Spotify is Awesome
I know I use the word awesome a lot. For my vocabulary, it is pretty damn overused, but anyways the point I am making is that Spotify might just be the future of recreationally (is that even a word?) listening to music on one's computer. Whether you pay for the service (there is unlimited and premium) or get it by invitation, you have access to millions of songs from around the globe. Now I'm a complete metal guy with random tastes (insert Fergie, ABBA, Madonna, just to name a few), but I've used the service to listen to a lot of music I listened to in past years but fell off my radar. My favorite example: "Pop" by Nsync. That's my favorite Nsync song hands down. Another good one is "Pump It" by Black Eye Peas. (and "Don't Phunk With My Heart). Don't judge people. Don't judge. One of the coolest features is that the program also syncs your music library from iTunes or Windows Media Player and when you search the musical database (remember in over millions of tracks) if you already have the song on the computer, it tells you. I haven't tried the Premium in which you can save songs offline and take them with you on the go but when I do, I'll let you know. Check it out right here. Trust me, it won't let you down.
Currently in my playlist: "DARE" by Gorillaz; "Abstract Art" by Born of Osiris; "S.I.M.P." by 2 Guys N The Parque (It's the Phineas and Ferb song); "Kalemba Wegue, Wegue" by Buraka Som Sistema; "Pump It" by the Black Eye Peas; "Runaway" by Bon Jovi; and "Black Tongue" by Mastodon
