That Lucky Rabbit

48 straight hours of just awesomeness, laughs, smiles, headbanging and some of the cheesiest and cutest moments America and I have ever shared. It all started on Friday with going to go see Devin Townsend and Gojira at the Fonda Theater (previously known as The Music Box). America and I had bought our tickets last week, and then a few days ago, she also won a pair of tickets online. We ended up giving our tickets to Irving and Kim and picked up the tickets America had won at Will Call. It wasn't until we were inside that we found out that the Will Call tickets were not for the pit. Oh well, we still enjoyed the show. Even though Devin didn't play any Ziltoid material, I was still super happy to have finally been able to see him. He's a total clown and I'm glad that he sticks to his persona live. Playing "Lucky Animals" live was way too funny. Gojira was super awesome live. Lots of double-pedal, energy and great vocals. There was a cool part where the singer and drummer traded instruments. Overall it was a great show and America got to meet Robert Trujillo of Metallica (which was super cool!), and I got to meet Jeff Kendrick of DevilDriver :D

On Saturday we woke up to the sound of rain. Lots of drips and lots of drops. Strangely enough, during the entire drive from the valley to Disneyland, it rained the entire way and the rain mysteriously disappeared when we arrived and the skies cleared up almost instantly too. The park was super empty the entire day, which helped make it that much more enjoyable. Just upon arrival, Star Tours, Indiana Jones and Space Mountain were EMPTY. In total, we pretty much got on every ride that wasn't closed for refurbishing (Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain). Being at Disney, I found it completely my duty to find Oswald the Lucky Rabbit merch, but to my disdain, it turns out it can only be found inside California Adventure (total bummer), so America and I just ended up getting the Oswald hats and they're fucking awesome!!!!!! I also found out that Disney had released a Kingdom Hearts Mickey trading pin. It looked so cool, I had to get it. But nothing seemed to top the day more than ending it all with dinner the Blue Bayou (the restaurant at Pirates of the Caribbean). It was all around cute, calming and romantic. We sat there and talked for two hours over some delicious food and ice cream until the park closed. Yum. A spectacular 48 hours indeed.

Warp

I wish I could pinpoint what makes spending time with America so enjoyable, but I think it all has to do with the natural chemistry we have. She's cute, awesome, funny and quirky. She has the cheesiest ways of making me smile and we have some of the funniest rant conversations. They're always pretty spur of the moment, which makes them that much more interesting. Today was just another enjoyable afternoon with her (like every other one we've had). Went to World 8, Starbucks, the Burbank Mall (all the stores closed at 8 which was really weird), and then ended the day playing Sonic & Friends All Star Racing Transformed. Lots of laughs, smiles and cheesiness. We also finished the first part of our Big Ideas poster. There are lots of interesting things planned for the future and crossing out items on the list will be a lot of fun.

On a little random side note, she always looks amazing. I've lost count of how many times I've just been left speechless from her beauty. America, you're a total cutie hehe :)

I meant to show her this video today, but it completely slipped my mind. I keep cracking up every time I watch it.

Hello there dark spaces of my mind.

I feel like watching horror movies today. Both Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Jeepers Creepers (one or two) sound good today (maybe even Hostel). There is something that I enjoy about those movies. I'm really in the mood for death and gore. Maybe it's the way people die. There is no real instant death to it, but a slow painful death. Suicide also looks pretty cool in movies. I mean come on, the opening scene in TCM that involves the girl getting into the van and almost instantly shooting herself in the mouth is fucking awesome. Then in Hostel, there's that girl who jumps in front of the train once she notices she has an eyeball hanging out of her face. I'll always love the scene in TCM too where the guy is running through the hanging laundry and gets his leg cut off by the chainsaw that Leatherface wields and then Leatherface puts salt all over his wound. Makes me cringe just thinking about it, but I saw that scene when I was eleven and it's still my favorite til this day.

Or maybe I'll just watch Stay Alive. I love that movie since I saw it in theaters back in what, 2006? The movie itself is a bit cheesy but what I really enjoy about it is that it isn't to cliche for a horror movie. Plus the whole idea of interaction between game and reality is really cool. I have no company today (or yesterday) so these movies should do a fine job for now. My mind is really in the mood to see people die and so am I.

took this during my shitty day last week

I pray for villains when my heroes let me down
Good thing I'm getting out of the house tomorrow. I've noticed that anytime I'm home longer than a day, my mind starts going to dark places. These long periods of no human interaction really seem to love playing with my mind.

Random Little Things

-Gio, Bob and I were joking around the other day about randomly hanging out together and wearing hats to look cool haha We all look pretty funny in hats, so it should be funny whenever that day comes around

-Genesis is going vegetarian. Sounds pretty crazy but if she wants to, that's fine. I'm doing my best to avoid saying jokingly unsupportive things to her since I know she takes jokes personally, and actually trying to support her decision. What bugs me though is that my stepdad does joke around to her about quitting being vegetarian and kept telling her yesterday that it was pointless being vegetarian because it only counts if you go vegan (jokingly obviously, but this is my sister we're talking about).

-My stepdad gave me these socks (that someone gave to him) (pictured below) because he knows I would like them. I'm not sure whether to be happy because it's more socks or offended

-I really need to go buy black socks. I'm starting to get tired of waiting a month to wash my socks because they're the only white clothing I own.

-Gio tells me the other day, "Dude you should totally watch Chained. I know you like weird movies." Gio, what the hell is that suppose to mean?!

-One of my mom's friends told me the other day that I should just get rid of my goatee. Fuck you too lady.

-I've been doing a lot of research on the new Devil May Cry game and everything points to bad frame rate. How does that happen!!!!!!!!!!! So I'm going to pass for now

-Tomorrow is the rerelease of Iron Maiden's Powerslave on vinyl and I'm going to go buy it. Hopefully The Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind are also in stock at Amoeba.

-I love my mittens. They're awesome :3

-Yesterday I went to Dennys for breakfast with the family and I got served pancakes the size of my fist. WTF is up with that?

Behold The Destroyer

I love Dez Fafara (lead singer of DevilDriver and Coal Chamber) and one of those guilty pleasures I have when I'm alone is to just blast DevilDriver on a random playlist and sing all the songs myself as if I were part of a DevilDriver cover band (which usually ends up with me temporarily messing up my voice from all the growling). Haha I get a kick out of it every time. Lots of head banging and circle banging. Today was one of those kind of nights and I enjoyed it like always. Though it is now time to call it a night as the day was long and dull and I ran out of things to do/look at on the internet hours ago. Good night blog.

Lazy Week

Had a great week with America. Tuesday we bought our tickets for Asesino and visited Irving . On Wednesday, America had an interview for the Blues Project and got accepted :D I'm proud and happy for her, and I know she's really excited to start. We also spent a good amount of the day just putting up posters for her wall (I'll post a picture of it next week, it looks awesome.) Thursday was a total lazy day and we did literally nothing except buy an Xbox controller from Gamestop and medicine and gloves/mittens from Target. We also looked for some thermal socks there at Target but they didn't have any. Friday began a little strange as America's ex appeared at her door. Whatever his business was, it was not going to get in between me and building that super awesome see-through Xbox controller (pictured below). After he disappeared into the abyss (or most likely the elevator,) we then saw Wallace & Gromit and the Curse of the Were-Rabbit. A cute movie I haven't seen since it was released in theaters (back in 2005). Afterwards we took off for the Asesino show but it wasn't until we arrived that we realized that America had forgotten her I.D. and we couldn't get in since it was an 18+ show only. Instead we went on a dinner date for some thai food, yummy, and just talked about random stuff like we always do. We found her I.D. on Saturday inside a marker box she had left at my house that's part of a poster that's going to be constantly updated with a list of things to do/try.

Grab Me The Can Openner

So on Saturday night we (as in myself, America and the rest of the cellar) celebrated Carlos' birthday and one of the funniest things that happened was hilarious conversation on hair (when we weren't using racist jokes). It all started with talking about Ariel's hair (that guy had some long ass hair) and why he cut it in the first place. Then I just threw in there that America wanted me to cut my hair and it opened a hilarious can of worms on her. Clara had the funniest reaction because she just went off. America was doing her best to defend herself in that I was being sarcastic for about ten seconds before everyone turned on me for joking haha. Love the cellar peeps. Some of the coolest people I've ever met.

And Not A Sound Was Heard

I'm feeling pretty shitty today. Why? I don't know. But I do. Maybe it has to do with my sleeping patterns recently. Yesterday I woke up at 3:30 am and today I woke up at 6 something. I wish I could refall asleep, but nothing ever happens. (I am also back again in the land of no dreams. Thankfully my bed is comfy and at least I don't have to wake up sore twisting and turning at night.) The gloomy weather doesn't count because I have not even been outside to be affected by it. Not even that really cool video of robots playing "Ace of Spades" is making me smile (Neither is the Blaas of Glory version of the song and I happen to love their performance). I've been trying every trick in the book but none seem to carry the solution. Not Wonder Showzen, not Far Cry, not even DevilDriver (and just singing along to "Grinfucked" usually does the trick). I helped my mom take down the christmas tree today and that was very unexciting, especially since my mom was blasting reggaeton songs for about two hours which are made of five word lyrics and they are repeated over and over and over and over until you want to commit suicide because the song is a total piece of shit. Shit shit shit. I still believe shit is the best way to describe my mood. Not meh, not blah, not alright, just shit. I bought a Xbox controller on ebay this morning for $15 to modify the shell of the controller and make it see through. I was excited for maybe five minutes and then just like that, there it went, as if I was never happy and excited in the first place. I've been wanting to do little modifications like that for a while, and this is officially my first go at it. I've taken my controllers apart for fun, so this is nothing new, it'll just give it a new look. All I know is that the faster the day is over, the better.

As usual (and continuing this tradition set back a good five or six years ago), Gio and I have created our teams for the next Mexican league. I am Chafas Rayadas and Gio is Induction.

This is my team. Took me like five minutes to set it up because at the moment I could care less. I'm not even excited that the tournament begins today.

Good night blog. I'd rather this day be over already than letting it continue. We'll see how tomorrow goes. Maybe tomorrow I'll smile, that would be nice.

Here we all feel alive
Here we use our minds
Let us form together
Use our minds

Recreate, redesign
Here forever

With a new world in our hands
We will gain control
With a new world in our hands
We will gain control

Realize that you will never
Feel this way again
Everything you wanted
Was right in front of your eyes
This is the life
So take it in and embrace

No more waste in faith cause we are home
No more waste in faith cause we are home

Don't let it be easy
You need a sense of direction
To visualize perfection

We are home we are free
This is serenity

Stop holding on for nothing

I'm ready to face this world and gain control
With a new world in our hands
With a new world in our hands
With a new world in our hands
Gain control

No more waste in faith cause we are home
We are at ease in the way we've grown
In the moment when time the timings right
We can start to feel the stars align

Don't let it be easy
Visualize perfection
Stop holding on for nothing
Visualize perfection

Pentagrams and Inverted Crosses

So I want to change my room from green bed covers and green drapes to black. I've been conversing with America about putting a pentagram on a black pillow case. I love pentagrams and inverted crosses. I thing they look awesome.

Black Is My Heart

Tonight is the night
The empowering wind that draws breath from despite
Roars ‘neath my wings as I soar with the end in sight

Choirs ignite
A swansong for Leda
Deathknells for Troy
Tragedy blooms from one act
I am nemesis

Poured in my arms
When my daughter’s eyelids closed
I swore to slaughter those
Who stole my ray of moonlight

So strike up the skies
The diction of thunder
God-given rites
No fiction can deafen the fact
I am nemesis

Cowled in the utter grief
I am the priest of a new disorder
Whose flag unfurled
Bears a hatred for the western world

There is no compromise
No piped lament
To stay the blind
Just a shrike cacophony of war

Ashes ember, fires rise
No longer am I paralyzed
Now I drown in a loss worth fighting for

Black is my heart
Black is my heart
Black is my heart
I am nemesis

Black is my heart
Black is my heart
Black is my heart
I am nemesis
Nemesis
Nemesis

Tonight is the night
The city sweats fever, the filth in her womb
Shifts like the season’s unease at the hands of doom

Restless inside
Her split underbelly
Suitored with flies
Marital bowels now contract
I am nemesis

Poured in my arms
When my daughter’s eyelids closed
I swore to slaughter those
Who stole my ray of moonlight
Never again
Our enemies entertained
I toy at the clasp of her chain
And remember the fight

Cowled in utter grief
I am the priest of a new disorder
Whose flag unfurled
Bears a hatred for the western world

There is no compromise
No piped lament to stay the blind
Just a shrike cacophony of war

Ashes ember, fires rise
No longer am I Palestined
Now I drown in a loss worth fighting for

Black is my heart
Black is my heart
Black is my heart
I am nemesis

Black is my heart
Black is my heart
Black is my heart
I am nemesis

Black is my heart
Black is my heart
Black is my heart
I am nemesis

Black is my heart
Black is my heart
Black is my heart
I am nemesis

And So The New Year Begins

I'm up way too early for my liking. It's like my body tends to forget I enjoy sleeping too.

Saturday night was super awesome. Going to Hollywood with America, getting hot chocolate and walking around was very fun. Went to Hollywood and Highland until we got escorted off the premise and then went to the Roosevelt hotel to continue our chatting. It was funny because there appeared to be two security guards who kept and eye on us. I really enjoy our time together and the ability to just sit down and talk.

Last night was very fun. Spending New Year's eve with America and her family brought tons of laughs. Watching Juan Gabriel was hilarious and all her aunts provide the funniest commentary. Poor David took the most jokes about it haha. My favorite one was that he looks in the mirror and dances like Juan Gabriel. Then there was Amber and Asia who went at it all night (when they weren't eating) playing some Mario game on their DS(s). From the count I got, Asia won like 4 times and Amber barely won once. Plus seeing Pita mess with Amber's game was way too good. "So what happens when I touch this" hahaha. The food was insanely delicious. I had five tamales last night, including a few made by America herself. Even though they looked a bit funny because they were flat, they tasted very good (and I mean, very good). I really enjoying being with all of them. I know many more laughs and tastes of very good food on my taste buds await.

On a side note, the curious thing about one of her cousins, Jesse, is that he looks a bit like John C. Riley and kinda talks like him too. Kinda funny.
